Spring 2026 general assembly: what was decided
5/8/2026 · by Governance unit
Preparation, process, key decisions made, and workstreams launched: a transparent report of the spring 2026 general assembly.
Preparation
The spring 2026 GA was prepared over six weeks: collection of points proposed by local groups via an open form, instruction by the governance unit, distribution of a 24-page preparatory dossier ten days before. 87 people registered (88% of the active membership), 71 attending in person or remotely. Quorum largely met.
Conduct
A full day on site, structured in three parts: morning review (operational, financial, health-water-energy indicators), afternoon decision rounds (six structuring decisions), and end-of-day outlook (12-month roadmap). Decision method: consent (not consensus) for governance decisions, qualified majority vote for statutes.
Decisions taken
Six structuring decisions: (1) launching the walipini build at two additional sites, (2) extending the mentoring program to twelve pairs, (3) creating a common perpetuity fund (5% of resources), (4) resuming dialogue with a commune candidate for land, (5) adopting the environmental health protocol, (6) adjusting the media unit roles. One arbitration postponed (SCIC legal statutes).
Immediate next steps
Each decision has a named owner and a 90-day deadline. The detailed report and key decisions are available on the local governance and commons page.
